I work for NICOR Lighting as the Web Administrator. I manage the content and maintain the functionality of the company site using WordPress CMS, PHP, HTML, CSS, and XML. I also put my graphic design skills to use creating Product Catalogs, Brand Style Guides, SOP Manuals, icons, images, and other web and print collateral for the marketing department.
Before I got into development, I spent over 21 years learning and honing my skills in printing and design. I learned all about desktop publishing, fonts, customer supplied ‘art’ in Word, Powerpoint and Publisher, cmyk and rgb color profiles, PMS spot colors, bleeds, color themes, crop marks, print signatures, paper weight and grain, creating estimates, job tickets, billing, PO’s, shipping, processing payments and making deposits, and anything else a print shop does in it’s daily operations. (Except running the press and making deliveries. I’ll leave that to the pros.)
Personal
I like to spend my personal time with my daughter and writing and playing music. When I’m not staring at a computer I also enjoy photography, scuba diving, traveling, hiking, biking, snowboarding, and working out. I’ve lived in New Mexico for most of my life with a few brief stints in Houston, Austin, Boulder, Las Vegas, and Colorado Springs.
